Shareasale.com is a medium sized affiliate network offering a plethora of individual programs that you can join. When you first sign up you are only authorized to size up for pay per lead and pay per sale programs. However, they do offer pay per click offers if you sign up for them separately. In addition you must apply for each program within the network prior to adding their ads. They feature all the standard statistics and allow you to download your account history in CSV form. Ok so I’m sure most of you at least know what PPC and Google Adwords is but in case you don’t.
PPC stands for Pay Per Click, where you pay Google or another pay per click company a certain amount every time a user clicks on your ad.
In Google do a search for “mortgages” you will see numerous ads on the top and the right of the search results. These are the ads you make on Adwords and pay Google every time they are clicked.
Adwords is extremely powerful for getting targeted visitors to your site, but it is also dangerous. 99% of Adwords marketers lose money, and quit or give up right away. Which is actually a very good thing, as it allows all of us to still be able to find unsaturated ways to make money from it.
